Odorless, salty and slightly bitter.Easy to dissolve in water and liquid ammonia, soluble in ethanol, methanol, soluble in glycerin and acetone.With organic matter, sulphur yellow contact is easy to burn and explode.It is the raw material for making potassium nitrate, mine explosive, bitterness acid and dye etc.A nitrifier for the intermediate of dye.The glass industry is used as a foaming agent, decolorizing agent, clarifying agent and oxidizing flux.It is used as a hair color agent in the processing of meat products. It can also be used as an antimicrobial agent and preservative.
